A leisurely Monday drive to the Wirral for a couple of nights at Wirral Country Park. Despite adverse weather warnings we were pleasantly surprised with sunshine.
A hugely popular site overlooking the Dee estuary.

An opportunity for some great walking along the coast.

Day 2:
After a very good night sleep we eventually emerged from our slumber.
View from the window
So another sunny day
After breakfast time for a walk to West Kirby.
Lovely tranquil path along the coast.

Two hours later returned to Dora.
So feet are sore and we have the picnic blanket out.
Enjoying the afternoon sunshine with a cold glass of Pinot. (Would have enjoyed it earlier had I not chilled it in the freezer. Thought alcohol did not freeze)
Looking forward to fish and chips later.
Llangollen:
Arrived at the aptly named Abbey Farm just in time for lunch and a glass of Pinot.
Then off to explore.
Big mistake following this path.
Heart rate max 147. But lovely view.

Followed the path to the canal- where I was intending to go and walked the mile and a half to Llangollen.

Llangollen- pretty tourist town full of gift shops, cafes and pubs.
Big plus the steam railway.
Wandered back to Dora and Kevin and a cool beverage.

Breakfast at the cafe on Horseshoe Pass

And then a gentle drive to Dolgellau
Prosecco time

Time to explore

Excellent facilities- spacious showers. So freshened up and on with exploring.
Short drive to Barmouth for an ice cream.

Then through Snowdonia to another super little site.

One of the best sites I have visited. Clean and comfortable facilities and very friendly welcome. Pub down the road for dinner.
