And we are moving north via Brittany.
After a lovely time in Rochefort we decided to drive to Brittany.

And stopped en route at Heric

Lovely campsite with amazing facilities, chickens, oats and very friendly cats
However I will declare Heric as the most boring ‘dullest village in France..
But sorry ginger you are not travelllng with us

And once ginger left Dora, Kevin was free to drive us onward into Brittany.
A couple of hours later and we arrived at le sables Blancs.

We parked Dora on the sea front. So much free parking here. And then walked along the coastal path to the old town of Concarneau.

And then back to Dora.

And back to campsite and a pitch with a view

And so further into Brittany.
Most campsites appear to close at the end of September, so we are now a little limited in our overnight stops.
We chose to drive north to Camping Côte des Légendes at Brignon Plages. A fantastic location in northern Brittany with its own path to the beach.
This afternoon I set out to explore the local area.

And across the beach

And then onto Plage de Blanche

And around the headland

As the tide crept in I had to return to Dora along the road.

Dora snuggled up behind the dunes
Saturday morning and prepared for a dull and drizzly day I prepared to explore the Côte de Légendes and walk the coastal path to Meneham.
The tide was out as I left the campsite.

Walking along the coastal path is a perfect way to explore the rugged coastal scenery.

And then a surprise- a dragon’s egg. The legend is the dragon died on the site of the lighthouse.

And onward to Meneham

When I arrived I was in need of light refreshments so ventured into the local Auberge

In the desire for Celtic authenticity the Dubliners played in the background (Not the actual group, but their music).
And refreshed time to explore Meneham – described as a picturesque fishing village huddled in the rocks. The reality does not quite live up to expectations. I would describe it as old buildings, a couple with thatched roofs but clearly very modern, expensive artist boutiques and the highlight of a lookout built between the rocks.

To be fair I find it more amazing the way modern buildings live side by side with these rocks.
And so a stroll along the coast back to Dora.

And the highlight- an egret on the rocks. I have a heron and egret fetish!

And so across Brittany to the medieval town, Dinan.
Recommended by so many, it lived up to all expectations.
The campsite we had chosen was closing the day we arrived so we decided to park up at the city walls, next to the castle entrance.

I explored the old town of timbered houses and cobbled streets.

And finished off my visit with a quick trip around the castle

And onward towards the coast and an overnight stop at Camping Le Bel Event.
