Arcachon – my little French paradise!

Rarely do I visit a place where I would love to live. But Arcachon is such an amazing French seaside town.

From the campsite the walk to the town centre was full of surprises. The town is split into 4 quarters – each named after a season. The campsite is on the edge of the Ville d’Hiver – a quarter of eccentric housing.

And then the most beautiful park -Parc Mauresque

And then down into the busy town centre, beach and port.

And back to Dora

And a gorgeous meal at the onsite bar. Margret de Canard!

And so onto Sunday and the surprise of the local market and its Oyster

bar!

A swim in the tempting pool awaited me back at the campsite.

And so the following morning we moved north to Rochefort.

Arrived late afternoon and set out to explore.

A replica!
