And so we decided the time had come to start our journey home.
From the north of Brittany the gallant Kevin, carefully navigated by Jane (aka Dora) to Seine Maritime and the lovely village of Jumièges.

The main point of interest is the ruins of the abbey, visited by Guillaume le Conquérant in 1067. (Known to use William).
Also very interesting is the local architecture along the walk towards the Seine.

There are plenty of bars and restaurants in this village but Dora was waiting at the camp site, full of beverages and my favourite snacks.

The following morning after a leisurely breakfast we moved on.
The Seine valley has a distinct geology and will be on my revisit list.

And so we arrived near Calais. Kevin reassured me Sangatte is not a refugee camp!

Lovely campsite by the coast overlooking the countryside.
Allocated a pitch – number 8 had an interesting resident.

And so my final afternoon stroll in France.
