After a leisurely breakfast we drove through Ripon, passing the cathedral onto northwards onto the A1M. A couple of hours later we were passing the familiar landmark of The Angel of The North.
Then onwards to the coast north of Newcastle. First stop for an ice cream in Whitley Bay. Then onto Old Hartley in Seaton Sluice.
Then onto the island of St Mary’s lighthouse for some seal spotting.
