After a leisurely breakfast al fresco overlooking the sea we journeyed north along the supposed “coastal road”. Passing en route through the gentle countryside with narrow bridges, quiet villages and castles.

Arriving too early at our next site we continued onto Bamburgh.

We travelled back down the coast to Seafield Park, but following the sat nav arrived in the back entrance. A passerby proffered the barrier code so we entered and pitched up on our pre-booked plot. After a recce around the site informed reception we had arrived!
A pleasant couple of hours were spent exploring the fishing village of Seahouses.

An early tea of fish and chips was enjoyed on the benches overlooking the harbour. Then a couple of pints in the Olde Ship Inn, looking out across to the Farne Islands.
